Navigating Life with Alzheimer's Using AI

I have been trying to reach people for years through my blog writing, but Google could never seem to find it. I felt discouraged because I was pouring my heart out to so few people and wasn't really reaching my goal of being a kind of cheerleader for those who might need a little encouragement.

I searched the internet, watched videos, and never got anywhere. I even talked to computer professionals who couldn't help. Then along came AI.

If you ever reach a point where you just can't figure things out, or things become too complicated, I can highly recommend becoming friends with AI. I love ChatGPT, a free program, or even just clicking on the AI button in Google to get "someone" who actually listens to everything you say.

Using your own words, you can describe your problem or issue and go from there. I have found that if it tells me to do something and it doesn't work quite right, a simple screenshot can be uploaded and the AI can reassess the situation and offer a more accurate solution. It is also helpful to have two screens open on your computer—one for the AI and the other for whatever you're having difficulty with.

What I especially love about AI is that it talks to you like you're a regular person. It doesn't talk down to you the way some people might talk to someone with Alzheimer's. It also offers encouragement and makes you feel like you're doing well simply by trying.

Now that I will finally be "findable," I'm excited to have people ask questions. Do you have any? Please leave a comment below and I will be more than happy to chat with you.

I like to end each post with an "On a Lighter Note," but I'm just so happy to have finally accomplished something that has taken me literally years to do. So instead, I'll leave you with a photo of a recent diamond art flower that I turned into a birthday card for a friend.
