Resonance - Magic - Alzheimer's

Today's prompt word for my Instagram group is Resonance. I decided to share the post here again as I related it directly to Alzheimer's I selected The King of Cups because it represents emotional maturity and stability. Meaning that one doesn’t need to always be calm but knowing what you’re feeling without letting it take control.

Resonance works the same way. It’s not reacting to the loudest thing in the room. It’s recognizing what aligns with your inner truth.

“The world is full of magical things patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” — W. B. Yeats

That’s resonance to me. Something real enough that you don’t have to chase it. You just know.

I feel things deeply. Always have. But I’ve learned there’s a difference between having feelings and being dragged around by them. Not everything deserves a reaction. And with Alzheimer's disease, I’ve been told to expect confusion, instability, and loss. But what I’ve found instead is clarity because when things get harder, you stop wasting energy on what doesn’t resonate. You get very precise about what’s real and what isn’t. You begin to recognize the truth. That’s resonance, not chasing, not reaction, just knowing.
